Learn to deploy, manage, and configure storage and OpenStack The Red Hat OpenStack Administration III (CL310) course provides extensive hands-on training for experienced system administrators in how to use the distributed storage features of Red Hat® Ceph Storage and the networking capabilities of OpenStack® Neutron. Students will set up a Ceph environment and its configuration as a back end for OpenStack, and configure and use the advanced features of OpenStack Neutron. The course also prepares you for the  Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) in Red Hat OpenStack exam (EX310).

  1. Introduction to Red Hat Ceph Storage Introduce Red Hat Ceph Storage architecture, components, and attributes.
  2. Describe Red Hat Ceph Storage components and features Describe the components and features of Red Hat Ceph Storage.
  3. Deploy and access Red Hat Ceph Storage Create snapshots and clones for Red Hat Ceph Storage.
  4. Create snapshots and clones Manage snapshots and clones of a Ceph Block Device (RBD).
  5. Ceph with the Glance Image service Integrate Ceph with the OpenStack Glance Image service to store OpenStack images in Ceph.
  6. Ceph with the Cinder Block Storage service Integrate Ceph with the OpenStack Cinder Block Storage service to provide OpenStack volumes in Ceph.
  7. Ceph with the Nova compute service Integrate Ceph with the OpenStack Nova compute service to store instance data in Ceph.
  8. Comprehensive Review Review tasks from the Red Hat OpenStack III course.
  9. Introduce networking fundamentals Review networking concepts and deploy OpenStack with a separate Neutron networking node.
  10. Network interfaces Manage network interfaces manually (using the ip command) and persistently.
  11. Virtual bridging Install and manage virtual network bridges.
  12. Virtual network devices Create and deploy virtual network devices.
  13. Network namespaces Manage and implement networks inside a network namespace.
  14. Neutron services Verify and manage the Neutron services.
  15. Provisioning tenant networks Provision tenant networks using VXLAN tunnels, GRE tunnels, and VLANs.
  16. Implementing load-balancer-as-a-service (LBaaS) Implement LbaaS.
  17. Neutron networking services Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with the Neutron networking service.

Mamta has more than a decade of experience in Telecom domain and has been working in the Cloud domain for last 4 years. She has worked on first ever Cloud RNC (WCE – Wireless Cloud Element) which used VMware as a Hypervisor and VM Manager provider with their ESXi and vSphere products. She was a part of the pilot project of Alcatel-Lucent in moving the complete wireless domain to the Cloud.

She has around 4 years of experience in deploying & managing OpenStack infrastructure primarily on Red Hat Platform, Centos and Ubuntu. She has worked with organizations on setting up their complete private Cloud on OpenStack using PackStack / TripleO OpenStack deployment methods.

Mamta is currently working on architecting Cloud strategy for enterprises which include latest DevOps technologies like Chef, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc. She is tech-savvy and has attained several certifications. She has done Red Hat Certifications on – OpenStack, Docker and OpenShift.

She is a Red Hat Certified Instructor who delivers training to corporates and individuals on several Red Hat Cloud and DevOps courses.
