Description

This is a two day hands-on programming course on Amazon Web Services (AWS), to dive- deep into designing and developing scalable web applications on AWS infrastructure using services like S3, SQS, SNS, SDB, IAM and Elastic Beanstalk. The hands-on labs for this course start with developing sample web application, deploying it on AWS, and building on it to use the services being covered in this course (Knowledge of Java programming language is required).

This course will also empower you to take the AWS Certified Developer exam – DVA-C00.

Prerequisites

• This is NOT a beginners AWS class. Prior experience with AWS is necessary.
• Should have attended AWS Level-2 course offered by CloudThat Technologies OR should have hands-on experience in S3, EC2, ELB, RDS, Auto-Scaling.
• Should have prior Java coding experience is required.

  • Hands-on: Changing the web-application to use DynamoDB as the database layer.
• Amazon S3 (prior experience with S3 required)
  • Hands-on: Changing the web-application to use S3 as the file storing layer, and integrating with DynamoDB.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Hands-on: Adding IAM based authorization.
• Simple Queue Service
  • Hands-on: Change the previous web-application to use SQS as part of the workflow process.
• AWS Elastic Beanstalk
  • Hands-on: Deploy the application developed using AWS Elastic Beanstalk.

About The Trainer

Sankeerth Reddy G
Head – IT & Operations

Sankeerth is an Amazon Certified Solutions Architect with extensive experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS). He specializes in running MongoDB cluster on AWS. He has experience in architecting and managing MongoDB cluster with Multiple Shards on AWS, which does more than 1000 requests per second at peak.

He currently heads Consulting Operations at CloudThat and has also been involved in various large and complex projects for global clients, some of them being in the top 100 most visited sites in USA. He has worked with clients to understand infrastructure needs and architected various solutions on AWS and managed deployments using AWS.

He has conducted training for organizations such as TCS, Infosys, HPE, L&T and many more. Along with this, he has also conducted cloud training workshops for faculties and students in Engineering Colleges.

He was in the initial development team of Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Seattle. He honed his Cloud Computing skills at Amazon where he helped ship the first version of S3 in 2006. Later he moved to Microsoft after over three years at Amazon to take up the challenge to help manage Cosmos, the Cloud storage and Big Data computational engine that powers all of the Microsoft’s Online Services, including Bing.

After living in the USA for over 10 years, he came to India in search of a challenge and Co-Founded CloudThat Technologies. He has personally trained over thousands of people on various Cloud technologies like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine and more since early 2012.
